In this project I wanted to create a visual record of Porthcawl in 2011, specifically the area designated for re-development as part of the “Seven Bays Project”. These twenty photographs represent an objective record of the key features of the Porthcawl Waterfront, captured between January and March 2011. My aim in choosing these features in particular, was to try and portray the essence of this Welsh seaside resort. My hope is that the photographs will act as a baseline for the local community to consider as the features of the Waterfront change during the course of the re-development.
